Macro Flora acrylic painting three day workshop. Suitable for beginner and intermediate artists.

Working from your own photographic reference images, participants will aim to produce two paintings in this enjoyable three-day course. The images may be of any flora – from seaweed, to gum nuts, banksia pods, cactus, flowers, thistles – any flora.

Day 1. We will discuss how to use acrylic paint and materials. We will look at composition, tone, colour, contrast, lighting, background/foreground. We will work on the smaller of our two works.

Days 2 and 3. We will commence painting our second larger canvas. This painting can be completed in two days.

On each day we will have a morning and afternoon critique of the paintings, the progress, positive points and areas which may need correction.
